Ukraine Olympic team midfielder Oleh Fedor shared his thoughts on the 2024 Olympic football tournament match against Argentina.
On July 30, the Ukrainian Olympic team played their third group stage match of the 2024 Olympic Games football tournament, losing to Argentina (0:2) and ending their campaign. After the game, midfielder Oleh Fedor shared his emotions.
"Overall, the Olympics as a tournament brings very positive emotions. But after the match, all the guys were very upset because we couldn't advance from the group.
Against Argentina, we lacked finishing and a bit of luck. It wasn't just about this match — we should have pressed harder against Iraq and not let them win. That game was completely in our hands, but we let it slip away too easily, which is now taking its toll.
I gained international experience playing against high-class, experienced players. This has been very beneficial. The support from the fans was strongly felt. It's a shame we couldn't deliver them a victory," said Oleh Fedor.
