In Uzhhorod, the 28th Congress of the Ukrainian Football Association began.

Today, April 16th, the XXVIII Ukrainian Football Association Congress opened in Uzhhorod, and within its framework, the UEFA and FIFA "Development of Ukrainian Football in War Conditions" forum began to operate.

UEFA President Andriy Shevchenko addressed the forum participants with a welcoming speech:

"Thank you all for coming to the Ukrainian Football Association Congress today. Within this annual gathering, we decided to expand the scope of the event this year. For the first time, we are starting today's "Forum on the Development of Ukrainian Football in War Conditions." Within this initiative, you will receive a lot of new useful information from FIFA and the Ukrainian Football Association, have the opportunity to communicate and share experiences. I would like to thank FIFA Regional Technical Advisor Giaoz Darsadze for his trip to Ukraine during the war — we appreciate your dedication to the cause and support of our country.

Also, today I am pleased to congratulate Viktor Mykityuk, Deputy Head of the President's Office. In these difficult times for our country, you not only remember about football but also take real actions to support and develop it. I would like to emphasize the importance of communication between football structures and the state — this is the foundation for truly influential projects and initiatives. I wish us all productive work."
