Ukraine national futsal team player Yevheniy Zhuk, who scored twice in the 7:1 victory over France in the third-place match at the Futsal World Cup 2024 in Uzbekistan, shared his emotions after winning the bronze medals. His comments were provided by the press service of the Futsal Association of Ukraine.

— It’s bronze! Your journey to the national team was challenging, but now you’re here. You scored two goals and won World Cup medals. What does this mean to you?

— Emotions, emotions, emotions! Not everyone gets to experience this in their lifetime. I'm incredibly happy for myself, the team, our country, and the brave soldiers defending us! It’s just unbelievable! We did something no one had done before. I have no words due to my emotions. Thank you all for your support!

— The team felt a lot of pressure throughout the tournament. You’ve come a long way and have now rewritten history. How does it feel?

— I think I’ll be able to answer that in about a month. It’s hard to do that right now.
