On November 13, the Ukraine U-19 team began their EURO 2025 qualification campaign in the Netherlands with a 1:2 loss to Kazakhstan.
The match, held in Assen, saw Ukraine concede early, with Agimanov scoring in the 9th minute from outside the box. He added a second goal just before halftime, curling in a direct corner kick in the 35th minute. Ukraine struggled to break through the Kazakhstan defense, though they had a chance late in the first half, with Husol missing a goal-scoring opportunity.
In the second half, Ukraine fought back when Ponomarenko converted a penalty in the 62nd minute to make it 1:2. Despite a strong offensive push in the final moments, Ukraine was unable to equalize, ending the game 1:2 in favor of Kazakhstan.
Ukraine will next face Slovenia on November 16 in their second group-stage match.
